One of the distinctive features of the Mac OS X is its simple interface. Users are able to interact with the system in a consistent way. However, one of the things that users may want to customize is how icons look like.

The standard icon set on Mac OS X is attractive, but we may want to diversify its looks by changing some of the icons. Unlike other environments, however, it is very easy to change the icons in Mac OS X.

The only thing you need to do is finding a set of icons and copy and past the icons in the location where the applications or folders are. Follow the single steps bellow:

(1) open the folder where the new icon is and click the icon to select it.
(2) Type Command-I to display the Info window.
(3) Select the icon on the top left of the Info window. Copy with Command-C.
(4) Select the Application or folder you want to change and select it.
(5) Type Command-I to display the Info window.
(6) Select the icon on the top left of the Info window. Paste with Command-P.

This will change the old icon to the new one. You may have to enter your password if the icon you want to change is restricted.

There are many places where you can find nice icons. Here is one of the sites you can use:

Users of Apple devices have reported increased productivity with regard to the recent update of iOS.

The version, dubbed iOS6, has added more than a 100 improvements to the system, with items ranging from accessibility to performance. It has been a huge step forward for the Apple platform, incorporating many of the most expected changes to popular utilities.

Controversy

Not not just the improvements have marked headlines for the new mobile operating system. A large number of people have also complained about missing pieces such as the youtube App. This has forced users to change their watching behaviors, such as going to the youtube webpage instead of using the App.

Another point of contention has been the updated maps application. Apple is not using anymore the data from Google, which means that it will take some time for Apple to polish the geographic data currently available.

Speed

The biggest improvement for iOS6 has been speed. The web browser has received massive improvements, and it is now very fast on both iPhone4S and iPhone 4. iPhone 5 is shipping already with iOS6 pre-installed.

Many educational applications will welcome the use of extra space provided by the iPhone 5. These apps will be able to provide a better learning experience with more details and increased areas for additional information.

All in all, the iOS6 has already proved to be a positive step in the Apple ecosystem for mobile devices, and will have a great impact on educational Apps.
